An official date has not been announced, however more essential medical services are on the way to Mexico.

The Mexico Ledger has learned that MU Health Care has signed paperwork with the Mexico Area Family YMCA to bring physical therapy to the town.

It is unknown what specific services will be provided at this time in Mexico. The agreement started November 7th, 2022 and is a one year lease and will end October 21,2023.

In October of 2019, MU Health Care opened a Mizzou Therapy Services clinic in Fulton, in a partnership with the YMCA of Callaway County.

Mexico Area Family YMCA CEO Brooke Jameson says "The YMCA is excited about welcoming MU Physical Therapy to our family. We believe they will be a great partner and will help the Y continue to serve our community. The Mexico YMCA is an essential part of many local citizens lives, this is just one more service we able to help provide to make Mexico a great place to live"

MU Health Care is hopeful that physical therapy services will be up and running Mexico, by early December.

The Mexico Ledger will provide updates once more information is available.
