New Indian restaurant opening in Mexico

Area diners will get a new dining experience soon in Mexico, when PapaWalla opens at 112 South Washington.

The owner is Jeffrey Owen of Mexico and this will be his very first restaurant, while continuing to build websites.

Owen says he is excited to introduce curry to Mexico, MO.

"We have tested our offerings for six years. Our focus groups were anonymous and no information was provided to the participants for utmost honesty. As a result, I truly believe we are onto something special,” said Owen.

Jeffrey will have some help running the restaurant as his mom Patricia Jadav will be cooking and the acting chief operating officer. Owen says they will use lots of curry in some of the dishes.

"Our menu will include chicken tikka masala, we will focus on getting meals to the people quickly and the flatbreads will be made daily. For those who don't like curry there will be pulled pork sandwiches available.”

Owen says he believes Mexico's demographic is the perfect ground zero for testing his ideas, menus, and tastes.

"So, put as simply as I can, I am taco-belling eastern curries in a brand new way never before offered. I am taking a chance that if correctly done the demographic in Mexico, MO will support it. Once proven I can then use Mexico as a role model for future development into franchising all over the nation cracking into a potential multi-billion dollar niche."

Owen says he will be deciding on a soft opening in the next couple of days, in the meantime keep your eye out on the PapaWalla Facebook page for menu items and hours of operation.
