New Miss Missouri’s Teen crowned

The 15th Miss Missouri’s Teen is Bridget Caldwell of Florissant.  After a grueling week of rehearsals, appearances, and preliminary competition, a judge’s panel narrowed a field of 24 down to 12 then to 5 and finally a new Miss Missouri’s Teen.

Bridget had a strong week of preliminary competition, taking home the overall evening gown award as well as the overall interview award.  During her talent, Bridget tapped to James Brown’s “I Feel Good.” During her on-stage question, Bridget highlighted her social impact initiative that focuses on bringing youth closer to veterans. In the evening gown competition, she chose an emerald green strapless, beaded bodice with a sweetheart neckline.

Caldwell is the daughter of Scott and Tara Caldwell and she attends high school at Duchesne High School.

Rounding out the Top 5 were:

  •       First runner-up, Miss Show Me State’s Teen Vegas Turner of Springfield. Vegas is a student at The Institute for American Musical Theatre. She is the daughter of Kerry Turner and Shawn Turner. Vegas performs a musical theatre dance for her talent. She advocates for “Dress Up Your Dreams” for her community service initiative. Throughout the week, Vegas took home preliminary awards in rookie talent, overall talent, and evening gown.
  •       Second Runner-up, Miss Kansas City International’s Teen Ava Powers of Kansas City. She is the daughter of Abby and Joseph Powers. Ava attends school at Liberty North High School. For her talent, she performs a vocal and she chose “Protect Our Protectors” for her community service initiative.  During the week, Ava took home preliminary awards for rookie talent, overall talent, and evening gown.
  •       Third Runner-up, Miss Saint Charles County’s Teen Greta Clark of Eureka. She is the daughter of Patrick and Dana Clark. Greta is a recent graduate of Eureka High School. She performs a lyrical dance for her talent and advocates for “Empowering Youth to Strengthen Communities”.
  •       Miss Northwest’s Teen Mariah Turner of Kansas City. Mariah is the daughter of Erskine and Maude Turner. She is a student at St. Teresa Academy. For her talent, Mariah performs a vocal number. Her community service initiative is titled: “Making a Real Change”.

The Miss Missouri Scholarship Competition continues tonight as the organization crowns a new Miss Missouri.

The Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization is one of the largest providers of scholarships to young women in the state. This year, the organization will award $85,000 in scholarships between the Miss and Outstanding Teen programs.
