North Callaway girls lose to top seed Elsberry on Night 3

The North Callaway girls didn't quite have enough against the top seed of the Bowling Green Tournament. The Ladybirds lost 48-39 to Eastern Missouri Conference foe Elsberry on Wednesday night. North Callaway was led in scoring by Natalie Shryock, who had 19 points.

The Ladybirds face Winfield at 5:50 p.m. Friday night in the third-place game in the high school gym.

In other Wednesday action from the tournament, Van-Far lost 67-44 to Clopton in the consolation bracket, eliminating the Lady Indians from the tournament. Mara Jensen was the day's leading scorer for the second straight time, however, as she finished with 25 points. Clopton's Braya Smith was not too far behind her on the leaderboard with 20 points.

The Lady Indians host an Eastern Missouri Conference game at 7 p.m. Monday against Montgomery County.
