Patricia Garcia, 79, of Hannibal, passed away at 9:48 p.m., Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Rev. Doug Mahsman will officiate.
The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO.
There will be no visitation.
Patricia was born May 11, 1943, in Mexico, to Earl Estes and Mary Ruth Meador Estes.
She was married to Tony J. Garcia on Dec. 22, 1984, in Hannibal.. He survives.
Other survivors include her children, Paul Melvin (Jennifer) of Wyoming, Ohio, Michael Melvin of Columbia, Kenneth Garcia (Andrea) of Hannibal, and Robert Garcia (Yuliya) of Shawnee, Kan.; her daughter-in-law, Janet Garcia of West Union, Iowa; her brother, Larry Estes (Sherry) of Ballwin; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one aunt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ricky Garcia; and sister Paula Estes.
Professionally, Patricia worked for the Social Security Administration for many years.
Away from work, Patricia found joy working in her flower garden and doing craft projects. Painting on wood and making stamps and cards were a few of her favorite things to craft. Patricia loved to go shopping and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Patricia was a fan of Tim Tebow and loved how he showed his Christian faith. She enjoyed traveling, a trip to Cancun was among one of her favorites. An avid reader, she enjoyed reading the Bible, Amish stories, and historical romance novels. She especially loved playing bingo with her grandchildren. Most of all, Patricia loved and cherished her friends and family and will be greatly missed.
Patricia was Baptist by faith and attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Hannibal, and Faith Baptist in Columbia.
