Posted

God Bless America, sung by the Presser Pipes ensemble, echoed through Clark Street as they kicked off the Mural signing ceremony on Friday. The piece that spans the west wall of the Odd Fellows Lodge is entitled “American Steam” and the artist, Ray Harvey, was named Missouri’s representative for individual artists earlier this year.

The following community members and local businesses who made the mural possible were recognized at the Mural Signing Ceremony:

  • Ryan Weiberg of Weiberg Painting and Remodeling and Robbie Miller of Mexico Heating Company, who provided lifts.
  • Sharon Koontz of Color Me Bleu, who provided daily coffee deliveries.
  • John Lumis, retail manager of Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners - Mexico
  • Sally Stuart, Mainstreet Mexico design committee chair
  • Mexico Mainstreet
  • The City of Mexico
  • The Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Graphitti And More
  • Independent Order of Odd Fellows Mexico Chapter
