Phyllis Ann Silver
Phyllis Ann Silver, 77, of Benton City, passed away on Thursday, November 21, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, November 25, at Arnold Funeral Home. Kevin Wilkerson will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Monday, November 25, at the funeral home.
Phyllis was born on December 26, 1946 in Mexico, the daughter of Howard and Lorene (Burnett) Herndon. On March 4, 1966 she married Donald Silver in Mexico.
Phyllis will always be remembered for her love of cooking and baking, which she shared generously with her family, creating warm memories around the dinner table. She and Don spent countless hours together, supporting their children and grandchildren at sporting events, where her pride and joy were evident in every cheer. When time permitted, Phyllis and Don cherished their travels, exploring new places and attending bluegrass festivals, a passion they enjoyed together. Phyllis' love for her family, her zest for life, and her joy in sharing special moments will forever be a part of the hearts of those who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Silver of Benton City; two daughters, Cindy Sims of Mexico and Wendy Silver of Benton City; four grandchildren, Kalob (Samantha) Sims of Mexico, Darrian (Andrew Jahn) Sims of Mexico, Kaden Brooks of Laddonia and Kylie Brooks of Laddonia; five great-grandchildren, Clayton, Brantley, Lukas, Carl and Teagin; one brother, Dwight (Loretta) Herndon of Centralia.
Phyllis was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Dale Silver; her parents, Howard and Lorene Herndon and one brother, Dwayne Herndon.
The family requests memorial donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or the MHS Class of 1965 Scholarship Fund. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
