Visitation will be from 9 – 11 a.m. before the service at the church.

Polly was born June 26, 1928, in Toledo, Missouri. She was the daughter of Joseph and Grace (Neyman) Iman. On June 14, 1947, in Auxvasse, Missouri, she married Glenn Crawford who preceded her in death on September 29, 2009.

Polly was a farm wife and mom. She also worked outside the home as a nurse aid in Caldwell Nursing Home 1969-1974, in the kitchen at North Callaway R1 High School 1977-1988, and the Fulton State Hospital 1988-2001. In 1993, during her time at the state hospital she was named employee of the month and Missouri State employee of the month.

She was a talented seamstress. She did embroidery, quilting (mostly by hand), and she patched more jeans that you can count. She was a wonderful cook. She made the best homemade rolls in Callaway County and she donated numerous pies to the Hatton Craft Fair every year. She always looked forward to making Christmas Candy with the grandchildren annually. She remained very active into her 90’s, even continuing to mow her own lawn until the last couple years because her health wouldn’t allow it. She was an avid reader and faithful in her Bible studies.

She was a long time member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She had been actively involved with the United Methodist Women at the church. Most recently she attended the Lighthouse Church in Kingdom City. She had also been involved in the Hatton Community Club.

Survivors include two sons, Glenn David Crawford (Kathy), of Mexico, and Bryan Douglas Crawford (Pam), of Auxvasse; one daughter, Janet Sue Mills, of Nixa, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Charles Mills, April (Steven) Loehr, Samuel Mills, Julie (Patrick) Stevenson, Christopher (Michelle) Crawford, Brandon (Jess) Crawford, Kayanna (Clay) Hardesty, and Tanner (Marena) Crawford; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Glenn and her parents, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings which were five brothers, William, Joseph (JW), Donald, Benjamin, and Raymond; three sisters, Virginia Ruble, Lutie Tilton, and Martha Richardson; and one son-in-law, Preston
Mills.

Memorials may be given to the Lighthouse Church or to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church children’s ministries.
