Richard Scott Ross, 63, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Jefferson City.
Richard was born on March 26, 1961 in Chicago, Ill., the son of Robert and Helen (Anderson) Ross. He was a member of the Prospect Baptist Heights Church. Rick retired in 2021 from True Manufacturing in Mexico after having worked there for many years.
Rick had a love of everything Christmas; lights, decorations, trees, and movies!!! Some of his favorite Christmas movies included Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story. He was a generous gift giver. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was able to see the humor in life’s absurdities. He had a fondness for music and was a gifted piano player, able to play-by-ear melodies and chords without sheet music. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He found loyal companionship in his dog Tiny, who passed in 2021.
He is survived by his daughter, Masey Ross (Stephen Lane) of Henrico, Va.; his son, Erik Ross (Megan) of Kansas City; his mother, Helen Ross of Fulton; three sisters, Donna McGrath of Fulton,Bonnie Winters (Michael) of Xenia, Ohio, and Judy Beebe (Johnny) of Millersburg; one granddaughter, Sophie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ross.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Carrington Baptist Church, Fulton. Memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm at the church with Rev. Robert Hayden officiating. Inurnment will be held at Carrington Baptist Church.
