A case will be forwarded to the Juvenile Office for various charges after Mexico Public Safety responded to the area of the 1200 block of North Clark Street around 11:41 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5.
According to a press release from Mexico Public Safety they received reports of juveniles recklessly driving a vehicle and possibly chasing another juvenile. Responding officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop it. The juveniles stopped the vehicle and ran from the area. Mexico Public Safety was able to locate and detain all four juveniles that ran from the vehicle with the assistance of an Audrain County deputy.
A juvenile officer with the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division responded to Mexico Public Safety Department. The parents of all four juveniles, ranging from 13 to 15, responded from Callaway County and took custody of their respective children.
There were no injuries from the incident.
