Shirley Ann Deichman, 77, of Wellsville, passed away at 3:34 p.m. Friday June 16, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday June 20, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville with Pastor Luke Wolters officiating. Burial will follow in Wellsville Cemetery.Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday June 19, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church.Shirley was born September 23, 1945, in Mexico, Missouri. She was the daughter of Robert and Mary (McGee) Cunningham. On April 5, 1964, she married Clarence W. Deichman at Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville.Shirley was a farm wife and loved taking care of her family and assisting Clarence on the farm. She was the farm’s secretary and bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and had been active in the Grace Ladies Society. She had also beenpreviously involved with the Wellsville-Middletown Young Farm Wives Association and was a 4-H leader for the local 4-H club. In addition to all that, she enjoyed vegetable gardening and reading.Survivors include her husband, Clarence; two sons, William V. “Bill” Deichman (Diane), and Robert M. “Bob” Deichman (Rhonda J.), all of Wellsville; one sister, Wanda Alderson (Bob), of Sturgeon, Missouri; one granddaughter, Hannah Van Horn (Jonathan), of Laddonia; and one great grandchild is expected very soon.She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Bradley August Deichman; one brother, Bobby Lewis Cunningham; and sister-in-law, Beverly Cunningham.The family suggests memorial gifts be given to Grace Lutheran Church or the Wellsville Cemetery Association.
