Shirley Jean Kelley, 73, of Mexico, formerly of Sullivan, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at her home.
Shirley was born on Oct. 2, 1947, in Sullivan, the daughter of Elvin and Evelyn Mesger. She married Ray Kelley in November 1989. He passed away in 2020.
Shirley enjoyed ceramics, painting and bowling in her younger years. Shirley went to Stacey’s Place every Friday evening and ate her favorite meal, Catfish. She loved to collect frog ceramics and figurines.
She is survived by her son, Travis (Carla) Rowden of Mexico; three grandchildren, Tyler (Stephanie) Rowden of Troy, Haley Williams of Columbia and Hillary Williams of Mexico; three great-grandchildren, Addie, Bastien and Cassius; two sisters, Carolyn (Richard) Hawkins of St. Louis and Barb (Jack) Schneider of Sun City Center, Fla.; and three brothers, Kenny (Rita) Mesger of Ga., Bruce Mesger of Fla., and Kirk (Dianna) Mesger of Sullivan.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kelley; parents, Elvin and Evelyn Mesger; and sister, Pam Mesger.
