Show Me Strong Kids (SMSK) is inviting all community members to an event to learn more about kids’ health and well-being by talking with doctors and other professionals.

SMSK is a program of the University of Missouri School of Medicine in partnership with the Missouri Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

This open session with Show Me Strong Kids gives parents, grandparents, caregivers, and other members of the community the opportunity to meet with pediatricians and other child health professionals to learn more about child health. Local pediatrician Dr. Kristen Soehngen will be participating in the event. She provides care for newborns through adolescents at Arthur Center Community Health in Mexico. Other SMSK experts on hand include Paul Foreman, MD; Jennifer Blacksmith, PhD; Alicia, L. Curran, BS; Jennifer E. Schuster MD; and Kristin Sohl, MD.

The event will be held at the Mexico High School in the Gooch Gym at 639 North Wade Street on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
