Community R-6 claimed back to back wins by a combined score of 28-4 on Monday and Tuesday.
Sarah Angel was the catalyst for much of the onslaught, going 3 for 3 with 4 runs in a lopsided 16-0 steamrolling of Wellsville-Middletown at home. She followed up with a 4 for 5 effort -- also scoring four times and driving in three more -- in a 12-4 win at Louisiana.
The Trojans led the entire way at Louisiana. It was 7-0 after three and a half. The home side pulled back two each in the bottom of the third and the forth, but that was all they could muster against pitcher Shelby Clark.
Olivia Kuda, Ivy Hays and Rylee Rafferty notched two hits apiece, with Kuda and Rafferty both accounting for 2 RBI. Hays scored three times.
Paige Painter was in the circle Monday and dominated Wellsville-Middletown, surrendering one hit. Trojans' bats could only manage eight hits, but the team was efficient, stringing together base hits and walks, converting them into runs.
Olivia Schafer was the only Trojan besides Angel with multiple hits. She went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and 3 runs.
A timely two-bagger by Alexis Welch brought three runners home. Kuda also drove in three.
Kayla Jett reached base three times -- twice on walks -- and scored on each occasion.
