Three Mexico teams competed for a championship this past weekend.
In the Central Missouri Athletic Association summer league tournament, one Mexico Optimist Summer League team finished first and two were second in their respective divisions.
Mexico Youngteens Red (McDonald’s) softball won its division championship while Mexico Youngteens Black (La Crosse Lumber) softball finished second after a tight 4-3 loss to put its record this summer at 9-3. Mexico Juniors Black (Meek’s Lumber) baseball took second place in its division.
