The eight-game winning streak and eight-game streak without a shutout is over for Community R-6. The Trojans lost the second Class 1 state semifinal game 8-0 to No. 5 South Nodaway (20-2) on Monday at Sky Bacon Stadium in Ozark in Community's second ever Final Four and first since 2001.

The last time the Trojans (19-6) were shut out was in 3-0 loss at Pilot Grove on May 2 in the Central Actvities Conference championship game before they began their current run to the Final Four. Community mustered only three hits against against an all-state player in Connor Rhorer that day and had two hits against the Longhorns, who were led by all-state players Memphis Bliley and Wyatt Miller. The Trojans struck out eight times, had singles from Gavin Allen and Tucker Cox, and Mason Carroll struck out seven and walked two in six innings.

Community faces No. 1 Cooter (24-7), who lost 9-0 to No. 2 and defending champion St. Elizabeth (22-7) on Monday morning, at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sky Bacon Stadium.
