The official campaign kickoff for the United Way of Audrain County was held on Setember 8th at HOMEBANK in Mexico.

Interviews were already conducted in July for funding in 2023. There are 10 local agencies being funded and include Agape House, ACCIS, A+, the Mexico Area Family YMCA, the Mexico Senior Center, Laura Miller George Help Center, CT School, St. Joseph's Early Learning Center and Central Missouri Community Action.

Audrain County United Way Board Chairwoman Bethany Collins says "It is important that United Way helps these organizations offset costs as they offer valuable services and impact the lives of many citizens of Audrain County. Everybody is being impacted with the cost of things and these Audrain County organizations help feed people and educate children and provide so much more." Currently the United Way of Audrain County has reached about a 1/4 of their fundraising goal with the annual support campaign ending this month. Collins says people can donate year-round with several options. Donations can be mailed to 222 South Jefferson or donate on the website through PayPal at United Way of Audrain County.org where a donate button can be clicked.

Board members include: Bethany Collins, Gina Raines, Kent Groves, Mackenzie Smith, Patrick Shaw,Chris Newbrough, Jamie Cox, Mary Dickey, Matt Pilger
