William “Bill” DeYoung, Jr., 76, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at his home.

A visitation will be held on Friday., March 10, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Mr. DeYoung was born on Oct. 23, 1946 in Rensselaer, Ind., the son of William and Grace

(Hoffman) DeYoung.

Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bill spent much of

his time tending to the family farm. He loved to spend time at gatherings of family and friends. It

provided him the opportunity to visit with the people that meant the most to him.

Survivors include one son, Bill DeYoung of Columbia; three daughters, Donna (Gerald) Meyr of

Jefferson City, Colette (Philip) Niekamp of Mexico and Alanna (Derek) McCord of Mexico; one

sister, Bonnie DeYoung of Mexico; one brother, Doug (Judi) DeYoung of Mexico; six

grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two nephews.

Mr. DeYoung was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jerry L. DeYoung.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Lung Association. Memorials

may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, Mo. 65265.
