Luke Wolf was far from alone on Monday.
The Missouri Military Academy sophomore finished 4-for-5 with six RBI to lead the Colonels’ 12-hit attack in a 12-3 win at Clopton (3-6).
MMA’s Nos. 4 through 6 hitters thrived as Hunter Manderson, Avin Hernandez Wolf finished a combined 9-for-11. Hernandez was 3-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBI and two doubles while Manderson was 2-for-2 with three runs scored and a double.
The Colonels (3-3) led 3-2 after three innings and then took control with a five-run fourth inning. Two hit by pitches and an error began the inning and then Anthony Melick, Hernandez and Wolf each had RBI hits for an 8-2 lead.
After Manderson pitched 2⅓ innings on the mound while striking out three and allowing one earned run, William Delaplane struck out five and allowed one run in 4⅔ innings.
MMA hosted Monroe City (0-4) on Tuesday before playing at Louisiana (1-7) at 5 p.m. Friday.
