Studies show that staying physically active, prioritizing happiness, being social, and eating healthy can all help someone live a longer, fuller life. Many companies and organizations in Mexico and the surrounding area provide services and products to enhance the lives of an aging population.
Plan to attend the Senior Expo at the Mexico Area Family YMCA on Thursday, April 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon to see how Mexico and the surrounding area provides opportunities for quality senior living.
This free event is put on by the Health Leadership Team and focuses on enhancing senior living through recreation, technology, and education. From transportation and meal services, to banking and home improvement, the Expo hosts providers, all with a mission to improve lives.
Vendor booths will be set up in the gym of the Mexico Area Family YMCA allowing attendees to engage with providers at their own leisure. In addition to informational sessions offered by the various expo sponsors, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with multiple providers, pick up informational fliers and pamphlets, ask questions, learn about new services, discover joy in new activities, extend social circles and engage in recreational programs geared towards senior citizens. YMCA members and non-members alike are all invited to enjoy the expo at the Mexico Area Family YMCA.
