Pizza thief doesn’t get last slice

On Tuesday, Nov. 7, at approximately 7:26 p.m., the Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) learned of a theft that occurred in the 500 block of West Boulevard. It was reported that while a pizza delivery person was attempting to make a delivery in that area, a male approached the delivery person, took the food order, and ran. Investigation led to the detention of a 17 year-old male juvenile around 9:30 p.m. The juvenile was processed at MPSD and released to a guardian pending charges by the 12th Circuit Court-Juvenile Division. An 18 year-old male suspect was also identified and a case will be forwarded to the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney for his role in the theft. There were no injuries from the incident.
