Audrain students earn white coats

Posted

Paige Meyer of Benton City and Kaitlyn Bohr of Martinsburg both received their white coats from the Stephens College of Nursing during a special ceremony June 21.

Dr. Nan Houck, the dean of the nursing program, said this ceremony is an important step in the journey of students to becoming a nurse. Upon receiving their white coats, the class took their nursing oaths. Stephen’s School of Nursing usually has their white coat ceremony prior to the start of clinicals for the nursing students.  Both Meyer and Bohr begin their clinical rounds at Boone Health this week.

Meyer is the daughter of Scott and Leslie Meyer of Benton City. Bohr is the daughter of Chris and Della Bohr of Martinsburg.

Both Audrain County residents have finished their first year of the three-year program.
