The Audrain County Youth Fair Board is gearing up for its annual Audrain County Youth Fair, set for July 20-25. That’s when local 4-H and FFA members will showcase their accomplishments and skill development through building exhibits and livestock shows.
“With the support of many individuals and businesses throughout Audrain County and surrounding areas,” said Matt VanSchyndel, board chair, “we have been able to offer the community an opportunity to enjoy fun-filled family activities with no admission charge.”
Sponsorships are currently being sought to support the fair.
“Many of you have been gracious supporters of our youth fair in the past,” said VanSchyndel, “and we are grateful for your continued support.”
Many provide support through the youth livestock and ham/bacon auction. This year’s auction will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 25. Preceding the sale, the Audrain County 4-H Foundation will host a barbecue meal from 4-6.
Those wishing to give can do so at any of these levels: gold, $750; green, $500; blue, $350; white, $200; purple, $100; or red, $25. To find out more about sponsorship options, contact the MU Extension. Donations are due no later than June 2.
Checks can be made payable to the Audrain County Youth Fair and sent to MU Extension - Audrain County, ℅ Audrain County Youth Fair, 101 N. Jefferson, Room 304, Mexico, MO 65265.
