On top of honors Centralia and North Callaway basketball has already received, more were added March 26.
Ryenn Gordon and Braylin Brunkhorst each were named first team members of the Central Media all-district team, which is voted on by media from throughout the area, Megan Brinkmann was named the Class 3 girls media all-district coach of the year, and Anthony Ford and Travis Brooks were named to first and second team, respectively, on the Class 4 boys team. North Callaway had Natalie Shryock and Lakyn Hartley be named first and second team members, respectively, on the Class 3 girls team and Jamarion Glover was selected as a first team member on the Class 3 boys team.
Gordon and Brunkhorst each were selected to the Class 3 girls all-state team for leading the Centralia girls to their best ever record of 28-2 in a season that ended in the quarterfinals at Principia. Gordon and Brunkhorst have also been named as Clarence Cannon Conference co-players of the year in the same year Madi Johnson and Ealynne Bostick made the all-conference second team, and Gordon was chosen as the Class 3 District 7 player of the year while Brunkhorst and Johnson were selected all-district.
Gordon averaged 17 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.3 steals, 46 percent shooting, 79 percent free-throw shooting and 34 percent 3-point shooting with 48 made 3-pointers. Brunkhorst averaged 19 points, seven rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.7 steals, 46 percent shooting, 76.8 percent free-throw shooting and 32 percent 3-point shooting with 24 made 3-pointers.
Brinkmann had already been named the Clarence Cannon Conference and Class 3 District 7 coach of the year, among other coach of the year honors in various places.
Ford was selected as a first team all-conference player and all-district player in Class 4 District 8. Brooks was named as a second team all-district player along with Logan Rosenfelder. Ford averaged 15.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, one steal, 1.2 blocks, 49.2 percent shooting and 68.4 free-throw shooting. Brooks averaged 9.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 71.6 percent shooting, 65.4 free-throw shooting and 28.9 percent 3-point shooting with 28 made 3-pointers.
For Shryock and Hartley, they were each named as Eastern Missouri Conference team players on the first team and second team, respectively, while Shryock was also named all-district in Class 3 District 7. Shryock averaged 12.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 38 percent shooting, 73 percent free-throw shooting and 38 percent 3-point shooting with 76 made 3-pointers. Hartley averaged 9.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, three assists, three steals, 44 percent shooting and 67 percent free-throw shooting.
Glover was named to the all-Eastern Missouri Conference second team along with Jake Blevins and all-district in Class 3 District 7. Glover averaged 10.5 points, 10 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 1.1 blocks, 52 percent shooting and 71 percent free-throw shooting.
