The Trojans won their sixth straight game when they won 2-0 at Higbee (5-12-1) on Monday. Kyler Swaim struck out nine and allowed one hit and one walk in six innings and had a RBI double.
Ean Johnson had a RBI single as the Trojans (12-7) had seven players with one hit, including Drake Welch, Kaiden Erdel, Lane Carter, Mark Zelle and Houston Hogan. Welch struck out one and allowed no hits or walks in one inning.
Community R-6 has the No. 3 seed in the Class 1 District 9 tournament in New Haven and will face No. 6 Crossroads College Preparatory (0-8) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
