The five road districts in Audrain County each have different policies and procedures for road maintenance and additional services. Residents in Audrain County Common #1 district who wish to have dust control applied this season need to contact their chosen dust control contractor prior to April 15 so their road segment can be placed on the dust-control preparations list. This is a new deadline implemented to streamline the service for residents.
Homeowners who wish to self-apply dust control on county roads are required to use an approved product or material and must also contact the Road and Bridge Department ahead of the application prior to April 15. This preventative measure will help the district’s road crews keep an updated list of dust control areas and will help road crews know where dust control measures have been applied as they maintain the Common #1 District County Roads.
For questions, residents may contact the Audrain County Road and Bridge Department at 573-473-5895.
