Glenn Edgar Hatfield, 92, of Mexico, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Arbors in Mexico.

Glenn was born July 29, 1932, in Mexico, the son of Glenn Raymond and Ruby Bell Hatfield. On July 5, 1959, in Mexico, he Married Annette VIrginia Hacker Hatfield. She preceded him in death January 29, 2025.

Glenn graduated from Mexico High School. He went to work at Mexico Refractories after graduation until he was drafted for the Korean War. He was assigned to the 18th Infantry Regiment which was part of Big Red 1 and was stationed in Germany 1954-1955. After discharge he went back to Mexico Refractories along with night school. He would spend the next 46 years there in various positions eventually retiring after working in management for several years.

Shortly after discharge he would meet Annette on a blind date. They would marry 3 years later. They would have 2 sons, Jeff and Greg. Glenn and Annette enjoyed traveling to many countries over the years. After retirement he spent many years volunteering. He was instrumental in the creation of the Firebrick Museum at the Audrain Historical Society, this was very dear to him. He also spent countless hours volunteering at AMC, The Food Bank, and was a Ambassador with Mexico Chamber of Commerce for many years. He joined Kiwainis in 1967 and perfect attendance for 48 years, He was also a very active member of the FIrst Presbyterian Church.

Most of all Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching Mexico Bulldog games that involved his grandsons.

Glenn is survived by his sons Jeff Hatfield of St Louis, Greg (Gail) Hatfield of Mexico, Grandchildren Jordan (Miriah) Hatfield of St Louis, Kaley (Alec) Melroy of Miami, Clayton (Emilee) Hatfield of St Louis, Jaden Hatfield of Mexico and Great grandchildren Josiah and Kenley Hatfield of St louis. Siblings Bill (Betty) Hatfield, Doris Brown, Don (Carolyn) Hatfield, Lois (Gene) Cloven, Mary Lou (Teddy) Hoyt, Alice (Mike) Spurlock, Brother-in- Laws - Lloyd Jenkins, Tom Corwin.

Glen was preceded in death by his beloved wife Annette, his parents, siblings Reba Hopke, Nancy Jenkins, Donna Corwin, Brother in laws Lyndal Hopke, Bill Brown.

Private family services will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Jacksonville.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Audrain County Historical Society. Both may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson Street, Mexico, MO 65265.
