A Jefferson City man with multiple drug-related convictions, according to a Audrain County Sheriff’s Office news release, was arrested Saturday after he led deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol on a pursuit through rural Audrain County.

Shawn K. Hollenberg, 44, was arrested on suspicion of careless and imprudent driving, failing to yield to emergency vehicles, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony resisting arrest and felony driving while license revoked. He was released Sunday. Further court information was unavailable Monday morning.

Hollenberg was stopped in a vehicle with dealer tags, blocking Audrain County Road 360 when a patrol deputy came up on the vehicle, according to the release. When the deputy attempted to check on the car, the vehicle sped away on the gravel road, but nearly crashed.

Hollenberg allegedly fled through multiple county roads and highways in the Santa Fe and Thompson areas of Audrain and Monroe Counties, eventually sliding off the road and getting stuck in a ditch off Missouri Route E and Missouri Highway 15 in Audrain County. He then allegedly fled on foot through a farm field.

He was apprehended by deputies and the highway patrol, the release stated.
