How could Trumps’s budget bill passed by the House and now under consideration in the Senate ever help honest, hardworking, trusting Missourians?
As written, passage would significantly cut health, nutrition, education, and clean energy programs my Missouri siblings, cousins and their families depend on. By now we are aware how reduced taxes on Trump’s billionaire friends will explode the debt and harm our communities as we know them.
To my 1961 high school classmates, I encourage you to research the bill and its hidden election integrity threats and phone your senators at 202-224-3121 to vote No. I plan to proudly hold my black and white RESIST sign on the street with other octogenarians on No Kings Day on June 14. My esteemed Mexico High School teacher, Betty Baker, and my Yeargain siblings, Ann, Scott, Kathy and Jane, will be with me in spirit.
