Mexico Public Safety responds to large fire at storage units On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at around 4:09 am, Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 500 block of South Clark Street in reference to a fire at a self-storage building.
According to a press release from the department, responding personnel found flame coming from the west side of the building. The fire was extinguished, however 17 storage units and their contents were damaged.
Mexico Public Safety Major Brice Mesko says "There is no indication that anyone was living in the impacted storage units. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the Missouri State Fire Marshall's Office is assisting in the investigation."
