Claire Hudson wasn’t finished earning awards.
The soon-to-be Mexico senior was named to the Class 2 Region 2 team for girls soccer to add to her all-conference nod in the North Central Missouri Conference. Not only that, Hudson finished a junior year that involved her winning awards in her other sports of basketball and tennis.
In basketball, Hudson was all-conference and all-district. She was Mexico’s leading scorer at 14.6 points per game and averaged 6.8 rebounds, two steals, a 74 percent clip on free throws and 33 percent mark from the floor.
Early in the year for tennis, Hudson earned all-conference and all-district honors. She finished fourth at districts in doubles with her partner: the graduated Lani Blair.
To conclude her year in the spring, Hudson scored 19 goals. That total amounted to 60 percent of Mexico’s goals this year and is five more than what the Lady Bulldogs had last year.
