Missouri Military Academy swimming has made a habit of advancing to state.
The Colonels have had swimmers at three straight state meets and want to make it four consecutive years.
MMA has two returners out of its 13 swimmers including Kenneth Burle, who qualified for the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay. James Aldendifer is the other returning Colonel swimmer.
Head coach Matthias McManus said some newcomers have trained in the offseason and appear to be in good starting condition.
McManus said the program is proud of the state streak and that Tiago Ruas Deluca signed to swim in college for Rockhurst University.
“MMA fosters an atmosphere of hard work and showing up for your team,” McManus said. “Build the team, put in good practice in the pool and make qualifying times for state.”
