The Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) responded to a fire at the Nu-Tone Cleaners building on West Monroe Street in the 6 p.m. hour on Saturday, Feb. 3. There are no reports of any injuries. One person who lives in an apartment attached to the building told the Ledger he was playing video games when he smelled smoke and then fire alarms began sounding. We’ll update the situation as information becomes available.
