North Callaway had many invaluable pieces to a team that competed in a loaded district this season.

The Ladybirds were eliminated by the Class 3 runner-up Centralia but not before winning 21 games and having five be worthy of postseason awards. Kymorie Myers was named all-state for the second straight year with a first-team all-state outfielder honor along with being a first-team all-Eastern Missouri Conference and first team all-district outfielder and first team all-region player; Megan Schmidt was named a second team all-conference pitcher, first team all-district pitcher, and second team all-region, Liv Knoepflein was named first-team all-conference infielder and second team all-district infielder; Kendra Pennell was named second team all-conference utility and second team all-district utility; and Ella Slater was named a second team all-district outfielder.

“Each one of them brought something invaluable to the table, and it was the combination of your unique strengths that made this year so successful,” head coach Mariah McKee said. “Whether it was the leadership of our seniors, the consistent effort from the entire roster, or the willingness to step up when needed, they all contributed to our accomplishments in meaningful ways.”
