In the July 14 Missouri Junior Tour event for the Missouri Golf Association, North Callaway’s Anthony Russell finished second in the 16-18-year-old boys division at Sedalia Country Club. Russell became North Callaway’s first all-state golfer in the Class 2 state tournament on the course months ago.
Russell shot a 73, or three-over par, to finish three strokes behind Jefferson City’s Michael Atnip. His best score on the course at state was a 78 on Day 2 that secured him 13th place. This time, Russell had three birdies and nine pars.
In the 14-15-year-old boys division, Centralia’s Easton Dodge finished in a tie for third after shooting a 79, or nine-over par, which put him two strokes behind the winner Jack Sinnett, of Jefferson City. Dodge had 11 pars.
