Charlie Fisher stood out in multiple sports during high school but decided on one for his future.
The Mexico senior will run track for St. Louis University as he made clear during a signing ceremony on Wednesday at the Mexico Sports Complex. Fisher was a Class 4 all-state guard in basketball and an all-conference and all-district quarterback in football before earned all-conference honors this spring in track. In the final North Central Missouri Conference championships in Kirksville, Fisher won his third straight boys 200 conference title and was also all-conference in the 100 and 4x100 relay. He achieved a personal-best 400 time of 51.33 this season. Fisher plans to major in accounting.
