The Mexico girls couldn't mount that one run to victory on Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs lost 55-48 to North Central Missouri Conference and district rival Moberly (12-13, 6-3 NCMC) on Senior Night in Mexico. Mexico (13-11, 6-3 NCMC) had beaten Moberly in the first meeting this season but trailed 20-10 in the first quarter before falling behind by eight points early in the third quarter. Before the end of the second and third quarters, Mexico managed to cut its deficit to one point and took a three-point momentarily in the fourth quarter. Charleigh Douglas led Mexico with 14 points, Grace Hudson followed with 13 points, and Alyssa Miller had nine points and six rebounds. Olivia Dunwoody led Moberly with 19 points, and Kyia Tydings had 14 points.

Seniors Hannah Loyd and Landri Teel along with senior cheerleader Janae Palmer were recognized after the game for Senior Night.
