North Callaway volleyball has achieved program firsts in the last few years and continues to do so early this season.
The Ladybirds swept Mexico (1-3) at home (25-11, 25-11, 25-8) on Wednesday to start a season 5-0 for the first time. Alex Craighead led North Callaway with 11 kills, Lauren Pezold led with 19 assists and Peyton Boulware led with 12 digs. Mexico had kills come from Caroline Fisher, Anna Isgrig, Camy Blackburn, Dylann Grace Hunt, Julia Goerne and Charley Jackson.
Mexico's C team and junior varsity beat North Callaway on Wednesday to each stay undefeated, 2-0 and 4-0, respectively.
North Callaway plays in the Melissa Hoerber Invitational this Saturday in Fulton, and Mexico hosts Marshall (2-3) at 7 p.m. Thursday.
