The Mexico boys finished the regular season on Saturday by winning another tournament.
The Bulldogs on the MMA Colonels Classic at Missouri Military Academy in Mexico after finishing with 212.5 points, which was ahead of St. Louis University High's 162.5 points in second place. Four won their respective weight classes, including Trevor Cole at 106 pounds, Carlos Juarez Ramirez at 113, Logan Hilderman at 126 and Grant Walker at 190. Three others wrestled in the finals to finish second, including Israel Hernandez-Jarquin at 144, Kyler Carr at 157 and Travis Shramek at 285. Brenden Wilson was third at 165 to earn a medal for finishing in the top three.
Junior varsity wrestlers Brody Hutchinson and Korbyn Stuart each had multiple victories at 106 pounds in the varsity tournament. Hutchinson won two matches, and Stuart won three matches, including a Tipton varsity kid.
Mexico hosts its district Feb. 20-21.
