Missouri Military Academy not only ended its seven-game losing streak on Thursday but honored three cadets at home.
The Colonels won 62-37 against Lighthouse Preparatory on Senior Night after senior Todbileg Boldbaatar led MMA (4-13) with 24 points and six 3-pointers. This is MMA's second victory against the Eagles this season. After leading 25-17 at halftime, Boldbaatar drained four 3-pointers and had 14 points in the third quarter to open up a 46-30 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Kennedy Barchigei followed with 12 points, senior Bryce McIlwain finished with eight points and 11 rebounds, and Levi Foster had eight points. Mateo Eaton was the other senior honored before the game, but he sustained a season-ending ACL injury during soccer season. Eaton still scored the first MMA basket following a layup by Lighthouse in a sign of sportsmanship to start the game.
MMA plays at Belle (19-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
