Missouri Military Academy secured its third win on Saturday.
MMA defeated Van-Far 11-1 in five innings in the final game of the MMA General Geraci Baseball Classic after losing 20-2 to Paris in three innings earlier in the day. Paris defeated Van-Far 12-9 in five innings in a district matchup.
MMA (3-6) had seven hits against Van-Far (0-8) and scored seven runs in the first inning. Tegan Compton went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and one double, Clayton Reich was 2-for-3 with one RBI, one triple and one double; and Beckett Sears went 2-for-2 with two doubles and two runs. Sears pitched five innings with 10 strikeouts, three hits and one unearned run. Cooper Huff had one RBI single for Van-Far.
Paris (3-5) finished with 13 hits against MMA. Luke Ensor led by going 2-for-2 with five RBIs and one double, Chase Kendrick had four RBIs, and Kaden Lehenbauer, Scotty McGee and Chase Graupman each had two RBIs.
The Coyotes scored runs in the second, fourth and fifth innings against Van-Far. Ensor had three RBIs, Kaden Graupman went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Kendrick had two RBIs. Gibson Condie finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Van-Far, and Bryson Poindexter was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
