Sedalia Country Club was a comfortable place for Anthony Russell yet again.
A year after earning all-state honors on the course, the North Callaway senior finished second in a Missouri Golf Stan Utley Junior Tour meet 16-18 boys division. Russell shot a 73, or three-over par, for a better round score than state a year ago.
Russell had two birdies and five bogeys. He finished one stroke behind Jefferson City’s Hunter Hovis.
A meet earlier on July 9 at LA Nickell in Columbia, Russell finished second with a 73, or three-over par, to finish one stroke behind Salem’s Aiden Summers. Centralia junior Easton Dodge tied for third with a 77, or seven-over par.
Dodge finished fourth in the July 7 meet at Eldon Country Club after shooting an 84, or 12-over par. His teammate, junior Cameron Barnes, won with a 78, or six-over par.
