Those who are concerned they are experiencing symptoms of, or may have been exposed to coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, can visit www.ssmhealth.com/covid19. Those without internet access should contact their primary care provider with their concerns.
SSM Health made this free evaluation tool available Monday to residents of Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma or Wisconsin.
The assessment asks if a person is experiencing a cough, fever or shortness of breath. It also asks if you have traveled internationally or to any areas where COVID-19 is widespread within the past two weeks. The tool also asks if a person has had contact with a person suspected of having or confirmed to have COVID-19.
Once those questions are answered, the person will be “virtually connected with an SSM Health Medical Group provider for evaluation and care, as appropriate,” SSM Health Regional Manager of Marketing and Communications Jessica Royston wrote in an email.
If testing for coronavius is recommended, patients will be directed to the nearest testing facility. SSM Health is continuing to work with local, state and federal health authorities during this period.
