Almost everyone is or was talking about the alleged Chinese spy balloon that was first seen over Billings, Montana last week on Feb. 1.
It traveled a long way since then even making am appearance close to Mexico, MO. Mexico Public Safety Major Brice Mesko says they received multiple reports from people calling in on Friday, Feb. 3, saying the balloon was visible from the eastern part of the town and could clearly be seen from the hospital grounds.
A local photographer was given a heads up on an opportunity to catch it on film.
"One of my Facebook friends told me that it was near Mexico. I live in the Southern Hills area of town and went into my house to get my camera around 3:30 p.m. on Friday. I used my long lens and focused in and snapped the photo," said Reverend Eric Mattson.
Several people also reported being able to see the balloon clearly from Centralia. The U.S. military shot down the Chinese unmanned craft off the South Carolina coast near Myrtle Beach on Saturday, Feb. 4.
The Pentagon late Friday acknowledged reports of a second balloon flying over Latin America but officials did not specify where it was spotted.
