Farmers across Missouri will receive a survey from the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service by the end of the month asking them to estimate the value of their agricultural land.
The survey will determine the average value per acre of all farmland, cropland and pastureland.
“The survey shows that cropland values in Missouri peaked in 2014 and have declined very modestly since then,” MIssouri State Statistician Bob Garino said. “Pastureland values peaked in 2019.
Farmers can submit their responses by mail or through the Ag Counts website. Farmers may be contacted by phone during June if they have not returned their survey by mail or responded online. Survey results will be published Aug. 6 in the Agricultural Land Values report.
