Elliott Utterback played like the Van-Far girls MVP.
Utterback averaged 16 points per game, four rebounds and one steal to earn a first team all-Eastern Missouri Conference selection and an all-district honor in Class 2 District 5. Utterback was also named the team’s MVP and Lady Indians Sportsmanship recipient after finishing the season with the most points and steals to lead the team to a 7-16 record — the best in three seasons.
For the varsity team awards, Khloe Wallace was the Best Defensive player, Trinity Skwirtz was selected for the Hustle award and Kenya Jones was deemed Most Improved. For the junior varsity team awards, Carly Hunn was named the MVP and Best Defensive player, Ashlyn Marshall was selected for the Hustle award and Aviana Early was chosen as the Most Improved.
Utterback, Wallace, Jones, Skwirtz, Chloe Zumwalt and Mylee Keller were all named academic all-conference.
