The Douglas twins gave the Van-Far football team a lift this past season and want to do that for their college team.
Van-Far seniors Malik and Tyson Douglas signed to play football for Graceland University in Iowa two weeks ago following an 8-3 season. They each transferred into their father’s alma mater school, Van-Far, before their senior seasons.
“I'm glad I got to coach these two even if it was only for their senior season,” head coach Lucas Gibson said. “They are what every coach hopes for as athletes, and as teammates. They fit right in with the program we are trying to build here. Playing with your brother can be challenging at times, but as time goes on, they will appreciate it more. I'm extremely proud of them and glad they get to play at the next level together.”
Tyson Douglas was an all-conference and all-district running back and linebacker for Van-Far. Malik Douglas was the same for Fulton two seasons ago but tore his ACL/MCL to shorten his playing time for the Indians.
