Anna Margaret (Kehl) Carr of Dixon passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at her son’s home in Dixon. She was 96 years of age. Margaret, the daughter of the late Harry Randolph and Susie (Guthrie) Kehl, was born October 3, 1927 in Mexico.

She was united in marriage to Cleveland Eugene (Gene) Carr on April 19, 1946 in Mexico.

She is survived by her sons, Randy Carr and wife, Connie of Dixon, and Rodney and wife, Orlena of Baldwin City, Kan.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene who passed away on September 10, 2007; brother, Sterling Randolph Kehl, and nephew, Martin Kehl.

She worked 20 years in the healthcare field for Audrain Medical Center and Lake Regional Hospital. She worked as a cashier and switchboard operator. She enjoyed gardening and raising African violets and zinnias. She spent many hours in the summers canning produce from her gardens. She loved her special dog, “Laddie” and her cats, especially ‘Boots, Garfie’ and Midge.’ She was a member of the Dixon church of Christ.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM – Noon Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Graveside service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, June 20, 2024 will be at East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico. Memorials may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home, 3132 N. Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, MO 65757.
