The Centralia girls had a quarter last time where it sealed the game against Hallsville and Saturday was no different.

The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Indians 51-42 for the Harrisburg Tournament championship after outscoring them 21-11 in the second quarter.

This time, unlike Centralia’s 59-28 victory in the Centralia Invitational title game, Hallsville (14-4) battled back 19-10 in the third quarter, making it 37-34 going into the fourth quarter. The Lady Panthers (16-3) won the fourth quarter 14-8.

Braylin Brunkhorst capped an all-tournament-worthy three games with 15 points, seven rebounds and a block. Jozelynn Bostick followed with 10 points, Raegan Anderson had eight points, and Annie Robinson and Harper Sontheimer each finished with five points, five rebounds and took a charge.

Robinson and Sontheimer also made the all-tournament team for the Lady Panthers.

Centralia (0-2 CCC) hosts Clarence Cannon Conference foe Brookfield (15-5, 1-1 CCC) at 6 p.m. tonight.

The boys (10-8, 1-1 CCC) follow afterward, facing Brookfield (4-17, 0-2 CCC) at 7:30 p.m. The Panthers are coming off the consolation prize at Harrisburg after defeating Marshall 61-52. Boen Zimmerman was named to the all-tournament team.
