The Centralia and Mexico boys were among the best runners on Friday.

They proved it by their results in the Mexico Fall Invitational at Green Estate Park as Centralia took first place with 27 points and Mexico was the runner-up with 63 points. Missouri Military Academy was ninth with 199 points, and the Centralia girls were third in those standings with 66 points. Monroe City won the girls title with 53 points.

For Mexico, the boys had five finish in the top 20 starting with Tyler Grimes in eighth with a time of 18:40.85. Guy Fairchild was next in the 13th with at 19:02, Brady McCoy 14th with a 19:06.51, Davontae Frame in 17th with a 19:11.14, Andrew Peuster in 18th with a 19:11.42, and Carter Nading was just in the top 25 with a 25th-place time of 19:30.28. 

Maggie Ramsey had the best finish overall for Mexico in the girls race as the runner-up behind Hannibal’s Jocelyn Dorsey and her time of 21:11.59. Ramsey had a time of 22:07.77, Madison Bickell followed in 24th with a time of 25:05.39, Alexandra Terry was 25th with a 25.19.05 and Emmaleigh Seibert was 32nd with a 25:52.07.

For Centralia, the boys had five in the top 10 as Rohan Holiman was the runner-up behind Montgomery County’s Jadrian Thurmon with his time of 17:00.34. Holiman had a time of 17:00.95, Dryst Bostick was fourth with a time of 18:06.03, Elijah Hill was seventh with a 18:28.62, Carter Moss was ninth with a 18:53.99 and Wesley Robertson was 10th with a 18:58.06. For the Lady Panthers, Kenedee Moss was fifth with a time of 22:51.83, Shelby Lewis followed in seventh with a 23:32.51, Chezney Baker was 15th with a 24.29.18 and Rylee Palmer was 16th with a 24:31.28.

Missouri Military Academy had Malachi Imrie own the top finish at 37th with a time of 20:33.57, David Trevino was 40th with a 20:59.69, Michael Pfeifer was 49th with a 21:51.42, Dallas Grantz was 58th with a 22:28.98 and Jacob Stallone was 59th with a 22:34.09.

For Van-Far, Brooke-lynn Forman had the best time of a sixth-place 23:01.40 in the girls race, and Erin Childs followed in 35th with a 26:13.24. On the boys side, Garrett Hopke was 31st with a time of 20:04.81, and Richard Hayden was 78th with a 27:14.05.

Community R-6 had Grace Welch as its top runner in the girls race with a 51st-place time of 28:57.18, Grace McCoskey was 61st with a 32:47.81 and Evelyn Scott was 65th with a 34.56.11. For the boys, Nicholas Henke was 82nd with a 32:29.15, and Rett Curtis was 83rd with a 35:55.64.
